French Revolution 1791 Wiki

FranceSim is a roleplaying game played on the Something Awful forums. Players take on the persona of someone involved in the French Revolution and use their status and position to achieve their goals. It is played in successive turns, with each turn representing three months of game-time. During each turn, players negotiate and scheme with one another, and then submit their turns to the moderators. On a turn, a player may perform a number of actions. An action may be anything that it would make sense to do in game, from "rally supporters in Paris for a mass protest" to more exotic maneuvers like "attempt to smuggle Marie Antoinette out of Paris in the back of a covered wagon". The only limit on the scope of players' actions is their creativity. The success or failure of the actions are judged by the GMs with the influence of random numbers.

"People within people's armies betrayed other people within the armies and attacked each other, then other people showed up and attacked both, then more people showed up and did secret operations, then other people from within the betraying army betrayed the army that had originally betrayed the first army." - FranceSim.txt
